Weekly Post - 03/14/2011

soooooo...
This last week we had really crappy numbers because there is only one thing really to talk about-

zone conference in Nauvoo

Yes, probably one of the most awesome of awesome experiences I've ever had. Elder Unsicker said that when we were passing the temple watching me was like watching a kid in a candy store. Grin ear to ear :D

There is no way to describe the feeling of being in Nauvoo. I really really really wouldn't mind living there. Walking the grounds that the Prophet walked, touching the temple! Oh yeah! It's awesome! Sadly I didn't get to go into the temple, but I will soon. I'm just SO HAPPY I GOT TO GO TO NAUVOO! :D

We had probably one of the most killer Zone Conferences ever. So we have two new APs who are super legit. One of them is actually a spanish speaking missionary, and is in High School Musical. Just a fun fact.
Well like I said last week our mission is very behind on our goal for 500 baptisms. This Zone Conference pretty much was correcting us, and saying how we can get back on the right path and get those baptisms! It's exciting! We're going to do it! We're going to get 500 baptisms! :D

This week also consisted of other stuff, such as exchanges, and glow sticks. But we're not going to talk about that. Nauvoo was way sweet, Elder Unsicker actually has an aunt who has a house in Nauvoo, and we went over there. They have a cupboard full of stuff, and he handed me a stone ball, it was kinda whitish, tan. I was like what the heck is this? And he said "That is a piece of the original Nauvoo temple." I pretty much melted, it was like I was in the same room as Zooey Deschanel, I was pretty much on drugs. If it's possible to get high from holding a rock I can vouch for that, because I think I did. I also filled up a whole powerade bottle with sunflower seeds. I ate ALOT of sunflower seeds, they help the trip go by faster.

I would share more, but unfortunately we were kind of in a rush this morning, and I forgot my study journal...

We had interviews too, and it was sweet! We had a way good District meeting too! Also on the way home from Nauvoo we stopped at a gas station and I went to the bathroom and when I stood up I pulled my groin, it was really weird, and kind of awkward to talk to sister Jergensen about. But it's all good, we got it all figured out, and I feel alot better now.

So this is gonna sound way weird to all of you, but President Jergensen said something to me when I was in the interview that really testified to me that he really is called of God. I told him I was really stressed from work, and he promised me if I go running every morning with Elder Unsicker, then not only will I not be stressed, but I will lose weight. I don't know about you all, but I've been trying to lose weight big time on my mission. It's easy to gain weight, and I've always been kind of pudgy, and I've never mentioned anything to President Jergensen about that, so that was amazing to me that he knew BY THE SPIRIT to promise me that.

anyways, I'm gonna call you all out now with one phrase- MORMON.ORG!

thank you.

Elder Prows,
who has been to Nauvoo Illinois
Just not in the Temple... yet!
And held a piece of the original!
