So I am here in the MTC typing this post! WOO HOO!
I don't really know where to start, it's kinda way awesome! When I first laid back in my bed my first night I couldn't even comprehend where I was. Until one of the other elders in my room was like "Elders! We're in the MTC! We are LEGIT!" And it was like HOLY COW! I am a MISSIONARY! Totally blew my face off!
My companions name is Elder Richard Cory Knight and he is definitely one of the coolest guys I've ever met. Love the guy to death, he's got an incredibly powerful testimony and says the best prayers. Oh yeah, and he's from Mesa, Arizona and is very very very enthusiastic about it!
I really do love the fact that I'm here, it makes me so happy! The best part is too that I'm so happy I don't really have the time to think about home and friends, so I'm not really missing any of it (not when I typed missing and I had to backspace and retype because I accidentally typed mission). Sorry to anyone if you feel sad about me not missing much, but I'm just busy focusing on my work, and my studies- I'm trying and working very hard to learn a lot. And already in one week I feel like I have. This place is POWERFUL- the teachers are legit, and they totally know what they are saying. I love them to death, and the TEs or teaching experiences are so helpful it's not even funny! It's when we go and sit down with an "investigator" and we teach them and it's way awesome cause we learn a lot about how to teach properly and stuff.
I saw Elders Stewart, Larkin, Heaton, Routt and Sowards here within my first week! They all are doing excellent, and it was great to see them. Elder Sowards is in Tennessee now, and Elder Larkin in Washington. CRAZY!
General Conference was awesome- that's enough to say about it. It was a mission advice bombardment.
I hope to be able to type more next post, but I'm short on time- I'm doing laundry while I type this email. SO! Everyone write me- I want to hear what is up with you and how you are all doing!
